The Idea
It all started with a cat’s purr. It’s one of the most soothing noises in the world. The low rumbles of a happy cat create a sense of safety and calm. It soothes anxiety, calms your mind, and helps you sleep.
We wanted to create a way for you to take those feelings with you everywhere you go.
The idea of the Purrfy was born—a device that replicated the sound and feel of purring. We wanted it to be small and easy to carry, so you could have it with you whenever you needed it. We also knew it was essential for the purrs to be as real as possible.
We started designing. Our team of engineers and artists created prototypes and designs. We tried to replicate purrs, failed, and tried again. We explored the science of purring, talked with speech and sleep therapists, and ran focus groups.
Finally, we had the Purrfy. It’s small and easy to transport, just like we wanted it, and its rumbling purrs create an atmosphere of relaxation. It was the device we dreamed of: perfect to help you meditate, calm down, and sleep better.
The purrs you’ll hear in your Purrfy are from our beloved cats, Basil, Pickle, and Avocado. Our hope is that people around the world can find as much comfort from them as we do.
